The Castle of Rincon is a unique Mediterranean style castle set a top of a private mountain peak on the west coast of Rincon Puerto Rico. Located 800 feet above sea level, the magnificent hand crafted gated home sits at over 9,000 square feet. The home is located at the peak of a very exclusive, small private gated community known as Palatine Hills.

The Castle sits on 1 ¼ acres of mountain top with a 360 degree view ( 260 degrees of ocean view and 100 degrees of lush valley). The entrance of the house is flanked by 2 one-half acre lots. The side and rear of the house are surrounded by 45 acres of lush green mountains, valleys and streams.

The Castle is built with a European feel in mind and echoes of the flavors of William Randolph Hearst’s Castle at San Simeon California. Though the façade is meant to look old world, inside is new world technology equipped with features such as a glass elevator, theater room, distilled water system, water softener, central vacuum system, smart house wiring system for lighting, air conditioning in all bedrooms, and an elaborate intercom/security system that is unparalleled.

In addition to the elite security system, the castle is protected by steep natural grades, high walls, cameras and security gates. It is a gated house on top of a gated community.

The interior is adorned with over 50 cast Corinthian-style columns, over 5,000 square feet of marble floors and walls, along with mahogany & cedar ceilings and walls. The great room is complete with wet bar and a gas fire place that is comprised of floor to ceiling hand laid stone. Both the main kitchen and apartment kitchen have custom cabinets and granite countertops. The saline pool was designed by Blue Haven Pools with over 1,000 square feet of cool coralline decking surrounding it.

The cobble stone style court yard is over 8,000 square feet. If holding a private event, the court yard can comfortably park over 25 cars with additional parking available at the barn and equestrian area just below the castle.

The Castle is a Green home with 2 wind generators, 34 solar panels (most on GPS computerized trackers) and generating up to 50,000 watts per day. The home is 95% “Green Power” and the barn is 100%. There is a private community well and the Castle has a private 30,000 gallon cistern so water and power are never an issue.
